As part of its endeavor to establish a culture of innovation and strengthen its position in employing the characteristics of the third generation of the Internet in police work, the General Command of Ajman Police launched its first set of non-fungible digital assets (NFTs), consisting of 200 digital assets, which were granted to customers, partners and employees.
This came during the meeting, which was chaired by His Excellency Major General Sheikh Sultan bin Abdullah Al Nuaimi, Commander-in-Chief of Ajman Police, in the presence of His Excellency Brigadier General Ali Obaid Al Shamsi, Director of the Strategy and Performance Development Department, His Excellency Brigadier General Muhammad Shaiban Suwaidan, Head of the Innovation Team, a number of members of the innovation team in the police, and the CEO of the company Faisal Financial Technologies, Mr. Faisal Obaid Buafra, where the project work plan was reviewed to employ and use non-fungible codes and apply them in government work in line with the UAE strategy for innovation.
After launching the Metaverse project, His Excellency said that the Ajman Police strengthened its presence in the third generation of the Internet by launching non-fungible tokens, indicating that this step comes within the framework of striving to keep pace with the government’s approach in the field of digital assets, and to contribute to attracting those interested in this digital sector.
It is worth noting that Ajman Police has now joined the agencies that produce their own digital assets.
His Excellency Brigadier General Mohammed Shaiban Suwaidan, Head of the Innovation Team at Ajman Police, indicated that non-fungible tokens are easy to display and access digitally from all over the world.
Furthermore, NFT digital assets are created on the blockchain with unique, non-duplicable and non-counterfeitable digital assets.
These assets include detailed information about the asset’s owner and the date of its creation, which is officially recorded on the blockchain.
